When developing my website, I found it very easy to follow “proper” protocols. This is likely due to my engineering education where I was taught the scientific method and extensive documentation. Of course, as college students, we mess this up, but being in a solo setting and developing this for myself (and possibly my future), I find myself keeping proper tabs. I utilize GitLab, which is a git which allows for proper sharing and documentation. Within the project, I have a work log, where I track progress of the day and time spent. I also have a notes section where I add little things that I find myself forgetting.
I am also finding it pleasurable to work on this. I make myself a cup of coffee and put on some coding lo-fi music. I never imagined I’d actually develop a full blown website, but within a few days I was able to create my own website. I am able now to share my experiences and start my own brand.
I have to give a huge thanks to ChatGPT, which is the main reason I am able to create this website. Without ChatGPT, I’d be stuck on YouTube tutorials which often just go over basics and suddenly jump to the author’s specific expertise without a great transition. I’d also like to thank all my friends and family for giving feedback and being supportive.
